In Hindu philosophy, the world Shakti (or Śakti, Sanskrit, energy, power) is the vital energy that flows from Śiva and transforms the potential energy in creative act or concrete thing. Hindus called that as Prana.
The Shakti…. Mahashakti, the great Shakti, the Shiva’s wife, the Great Mother, is the power of life and the creation, the engine of becoming, is the Nature and the strength of the evolution. Shakti is a woman and in her womb Shiva falls asleep and the universe dreams.
Before the Creation of Universe there was only the Being-Consciousness-Beatitude that is Shiva-Shakti, which is the total experience (Purna).
But in this One there is a double aspect of a single Consciousness: the aspect transcendent, immutable and creator said Shiva-Shakti Tattva. In the "creation"  Shakti is limiting herself in a finite number of situations of space and time, in order to implement the process of dualism that leads to the Creation.
Shiva does not change in his transcendent aspect but in the immanent of Shakti, without loosing its absolute Unit. At the rising of the creative determination, Shakti will pulsate as Nada, the sound of the vibration.
With Shakti the manifestation begins, the Shiva power, from the most subtle elements to the mother Earth.
